Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with skills in AWS to deliver cloud transformational outcomes into our clients. Ideally you will have experience working in a consulting role leading other engineers to deliver automated secure and robust cloud infrastructure solutions. A good grounding in infrastructure technology is highly advantageous as is a programming background. We like people who get involved in all levels of technical discussions from architecture to hands on coding.

We are looking for a strong technical expert with experience leading world-class teams of engineers on complex projects from inception to delivery. Through both hands-on and consultative approaches you will be responsible for supporting customers with tasks including provisioning resources and modifying Cloud environments performing upgrades and addressing day-to-day customer issues.

Work location: Fully remote (you must live in Poland).

Responsibilities:

• Design and implementation of scalable software services alongside engineering and architecture teams. Focus on the hands on delivery and implementation of technology solutions

• Assess client needs and recommend technology solutions for the successful Build and Deployment of complex and scalable cloud based solutions

• Execution of Cloud engineering tasks within migration sprint cycles aligned to best practices and templates within a customer project team

• Help customers optimize their workloads by providing application focused assistance to build deploy integrate scale and heal using native AWS and 3rd party toolchains and automation oriented agile principles.

• Build out of new customer cloud solutions using cloud native components

• Extend and enhance business value making technical decisions which impact the success of assigned projects i.e. How/What

• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate Lacework’s security solutions into existing workflows and systems enhancing overall security posture

• Usage of foundational architecture and components to build out automated cloud environments CI/CD pipelines and supporting services frameworks

• Present architecture to external stakeholders of varying levels from Developers to Senior Customer Leadership

• Brief senior leadership and end users at varying levels of familiarity with cloud technologies about the technology selections best practices and benefits

• Enable major DevOps projects for successful production state

• Provide technical expertise and resolving complex technical issues

• Lead critical deployments and align with the customer creating direct value for individual projects.

• Lead technical root cause analysis

• Manage the production change approval process

Technical Skills:

• Proven hands-on experience with AWS ('AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner' is essential)

• Previous exposure to large-scale system design and Cloud Landing Zones.

• Experience of integrating Lacework’s security solutions into existing cloud systems would be highly beneficial.

• Technical Tooling: Terraform Git/Version Control eg: GitLab/GitHub

• Understanding of Security Networking Identity Foundation Security Agile/SAFe GxP/ISO27001 JIRA/Confluence etc.

• Preferred Coding Languages: HashiCorp Configuration Language (HCL) JSON Typescript Go etc.

• Thorough understanding of AWS IAM roles profiles and permission sets

• Knowledge and usage of GitHub repositories Connectors Webhooks

• Demonstrable experience of Terraform registry management published and custom providers.

• Proven experience of creating and managing CI/CD pipelines workers and agents.

• Proven experience of automated code testing and reviews.

• Knowledge of Open Policy Agent Lacework Query Language would be a bonus.
