Senior Azure Cloud Architect

Currently, we are looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Architect to join our team in Norway. 

Your daily responsibilities:

• Participating in various customer projects, from implementing cloud foundations and platforms to transforming workloads into cloud native application
• Pre-sales activity including assisting with writing customer proposal
• Deep-diving into our customers' challenges by giving workshops and designing recommendations to technical teams and stakeholders
• You will become a trusted advisor for high-profile enterprises and jointly manage the customer relationship and roadmap with the Nordcloud account team
• You will have the opportunity to engage with our customers from the very start of the customer journey to the cloud and continue in your role on the customer projects until it’s finished
• Acting as technical thought leader in customer engagements and amongst your peers at Nordcloud

The primary working location is Oslo, where our office is located in the heart of the city. Travel to other places in Norway or Europe may be an option occasionally, depending on the assignment and your preferences.

Your key skills:

• Hands-on experience with Cloud Architecture Design and/or Cloud Architectural Patterns for Development
• At least 5 years of experience in Public Cloud
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure (other public clouds such as AWS and GCP are a plus)
• Experience in leading complex large-scale projects
• Solid engineering/technical background/hands-on experience with conceptualizing, strategizing, and architecting cloud solutions
• Knowledge of security, network, virtualization, load balancer, storage, and database
• Hands-on experience with IaC (Infrastructure-as-Code) for managing the cloud
• Knowledge and experience around DevOps/DevSecOps and/or Platform Engineering as well as the ability to share, coach and mentor in these areas
• Active customer consultant and pre-sales attitude are a must
• Experience with enterprise customers or big organizations
• At least 3 years of experience working within the EU
• Fluent communication skills in both English and Norwegian

Skills we'd consider a plus:

• Windows and/or Linux sys op background
• Previous experience in the design and delivery of systems based on IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings, as well as exposure to different architecture models
• Passion to share your knowledge, mentor others in the team and lead if necessary
• Experience with building CI/CD pipelines
• Coding/scripting skills (Bash, Python, Powershell, or similar)
• Experience in consultancy

All in all, you should have a solid engineering/technical background/hands-on experience with conceptualizing, strategizing and architecting cloud solutions. As you will work directly with customers, social skills and a customer service attitude are a must. We favor critical/logical thinking, curiosity, and attention to detail over extensive but unstructured knowledge.
