We are seeking a Senior Back End Developer to join our growing team and lead the development of innovative systems and services that drive client success.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining back-end infrastructure across a variety of applications and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. 

Success in this role requires a strong technical background, a collaborative mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and growth. Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, as well as experience building REST APIs using Serverless and Nuxt frameworks are essential.

Role and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve challenges and deliver exceptional solutions for our clients 
• Foster strong relationships with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless and successful project delivery
• Write clean, testable, reusable, and well-documented code 
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable back-end services and APIs 
• Partner with diverse teams to gather requirements and ensure project alignment
• Optimize back-end systems for performance, reliability, and scalability 
• Implement robust security and data protection measures 
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the full stack 
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement 

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience 
• Experience at a digital-first agency/consultancy a strong plus
• Expertise in Java, Kotlin, Node.js, Python, object-oriented programming, MVC frameworks, API development, and web development 
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and building REST APIs using Serverless and Nuxt frameworks required 
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and related technologies 
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, coding standards, version control, and build/regression testing processes 
• Proven experience developing scalable websites and web applications 
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and consuming APIs 
• AWS experience preferred 
• A keen attention to detail and accuracy; exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills
• Enthusiastic and solution-oriented, with the ability to identify and understand problems, build team consensus, and work toward effective solutions 
• Skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; flexible and readily adaptable to changing circumstances 
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical topics to a variety of audiences 
• Experience working with Confluence, Jira, or similar tools
• A fast learner; proven success picking up new technologies and tools quickly and proficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Digitally-savvy and well-informed of digital and analytics innovations, trends, and technologies 
• eCommerce experience a plus 
• Familiarity with eCommerce-adjacent platforms (PIM, CPQ, DAM, etc.) a plus 
• Experience with CMS platforms such as AEM or Drupal a plus 
• Ideal candidates will hold a 2- or 4-year degree in Computer Science or Engineering, be a bootcamp graduate, or self-taught with relevant hands-on experience
