Become a Senior Backend Engineer for Bloomreach! We are building a dedicated team for the Content Paas module of the Bloomreach Experience (BRX), a product that has 150+ customers worldwide. Become a part of our Engineering Team, and work out of our Amsterdam office or from home on a full-time basis.
What tech stack do we have for you?- Development languages for the team are Java and Javascript/Typescript
- Web application using open source frameworks like Spring, JCR, CXF (REST APIs), Angular and Wicket
- Kubernetes-based infrastructure platform
- Improve and extend the Content Paas platform
- Think and own the full development life cycle - from backlog refinement, architecture, technology, coding standards, and testing to code reviews
- Be a high producer of work with hands-on development
- Help us improve the architecture, security, stability, and efficiency of the Content module
- In 30 days, you will go through our onboarding program, get to know the company, product, stack & team
- In 90 days, you will have delivered initial requests along with your teammates
- In 180 days, you will have completed building up your knowledge on the project and the product roadmap, worked on high-priority issues and removed significant pain for the customers
- In 365 days you will be comfortable challenging the status quo and delivering the highest business value
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Extensive knowledge of core Java and common Java libraries and frameworks
- Hands-on experience in designing and building production-grade systems
- Strong hands-on programming skills; you write clean code and ship it with automated tests
- Can't live with technical debt and you advocate why it's essential to pay it off
- You display a quality mindset regarding unit testing, code review, and integration testing
- You can balance between the “perfect solution” & delivering
- Working experience with cloud computing, containerization, CI/CD
- You are humble, open-minded, eager to grow with others, and focus on “we” instead of “I”
- You have a passion for your craft and a keen interest in understanding how things work
- You are comfortable diving into the details of complex problems
- You like to invent & simplify for your team and the customer
- You enjoy autonomy, can work with minimum supervision
- You enjoy working in a remote-first environment
- You enjoy working in an agile team
- Experience with software in production
- Polyglot, can choose to work with tech stacks other than Java
- Frontend development, Javascript/Typescript, Angular experience
- CMS experience
- JCR familiarity
- Working experience with microservices, managed kubernetes, iac
