Senior Back End Engineer - Subscription Management

Enter the Subscription Management and Growth Team! As a Senior Back End Engineer you will implement new architectures features and best practices to scale the Cloudbeds subscription billing capabilities. In addition to our customer-facing modules your work on integrations with our CRM financial and ticketing systems support the scale and operations of our globally distributed #remotefirst team. Your goal is to deliver exceptional software in a risk-averse yet agile development methodology. You prefer projects where you can work flexibly across the stack with test coverage and accuracy is top of mind. Alongside your team you will leverage modern SaaS and Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies to deliver technologies that will scale Cloudbeds to the next level..

Location: Remote - Eastern Europe

What You Will Do:

• Produce clean well-documented and beautiful code as part of a high performing agile software team focused on internal products and integrations.

• Help design the long term vision of our internal technology footprint

• Promote best practices to improve the quality of our code and processes.

• Drive technical decisions within the team.

• Advocate for quality and test automation.

You’ll Succeed With:

• 4+ years of PHP web application software engineering experience; 2+ with one or more modern frameworks (for example Laravel Symfony Codeigniter)

• 2+ years experience with Cloud Systems and architectures (AWS strongly preferred)

• Strong experience with Relational Databases MySQL and writing SQL scripts

• A passion for risk-averse development testing and release processes

• Strong teamwork leadership and time management skills.

• Passionate about agile practices personal improvement and working in concert with a high performing team.

• Business level English fluency required (verbal and written skills).

Nice to Have:

• 2+ Years of experience working with Salesforce integration technologies

• 3+ Years Experience with front-end Javascript (any framework). Full Stack and T-shape engineering experience satisfies this requirement

• Experience working with Stripe API and/or other payment integrations

• Strong experience with AWS

• Experience working with a remote-first and globally distributed team.

• Travel industry experience is a plus but definitely not required!

• Experience with Atlassian products [Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket].
