Senior Back-End Programmer, Wordpress- Canada / Québec

 We're currently looking to expand our team, and are ready to welcome a new team player who is proactive, curious and passionate about their field—a Senior Back-End Programmer who loves to learn and grow in a stimulating and constantly evolving environment.

What You'll Do:

• Analyze functional and technical needs to develop effective solutions with the Wordpress CMS
• Plan, conceptualize and program sites in Wordpress
• Adhere to back-end department development standards, including time estimation
• Collaborate with the development team to design, implement and maintain backend features
• Participate in team meetings as well as scrum to strengthen team cohesion and alignment
• Ensure the performance, security and scalability of sites using Wordpress
• Contribute to continuous product improvement by implementing the latest Wordpress features and best practices
• Work closely with frontend teams to ensure smooth integration
• Carry out quality checks
• Create training tools and technical documents
• Use Git for code versioning and team collaboration

What You'll Need:

• Diploma in computer science, programming component or any other relevant training
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in backend web development
• Advanced mastery of the CMS Wordpress (plugin functionality design, use of ACF Block)
• Proficiency in Git for code versioning
• In-depth knowledge of advanced PHP concepts
• Experience in database design and management
• Knowledge of the Twig templating language preferred
