Senior Backend Developer

We’re looking for a driven backend developer to take the next step as a Senior Backend Developer within our Platform Team. This position places you at the heart of our engineering efforts, empowering teams across Lodgify to enhance productivity and operational excellence. You’ll be instrumental in refining shared tools, infrastructure, and best practices, putting software engineers at the center to drive scalable impact. We’re especially looking for someone with an openness to learn and a mindset geared towards experimentation, who’s excited to continuously seek out and implement improvements across our development processes.

⭐ How will you make an impact?

• Contribute to ongoing projects to improve security protocols across our platform, ensuring our systems are robust and secure.
• Work on initiatives to increase the stability and coverage of our email services, enhancing communication reliability across various touchpoints.
• Build and maintain foundational tools that streamline feature squad workflows, enabling faster, safer development across the platform.
• Guide our transition to a microservices architecture by leading the migration of remaining monolithic components
• Shape the platform’s architecture by actively participating in technical discussions and decision-making.
• Improve CI/CD artifacts to support squad efficiency and ensure seamless deployment processes.
• Propose initiatives and design solutions to drive improvements within the squad, seeing them through to implementation.
• Improve our observability capabilities to support the continuity and health of the different platform’s domains.

• At least 1 year at Lodgify in a backend role.
• Skilled at evaluating and integrating new technologies to enhance platform capabilities and meet evolving needs.
• Approaches development with a mindset geared towards learning and experimentation, unafraid to test and refine new ideas
• Thrives in dynamic environments and is open to adjusting approaches based on project needs and feedback.
• Values a proactive, prevention-focused approach, helping to identify and resolve issues early for smoother operations
• Excellent analytical skills to understand complex code and its architectural implications.
