Senior Backend Developer in Golang

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer in Go, passionate about developing scalable applications, to join our results-driven engineering team.
Our goal is to make healthcare more accessible and affordable by helping people save money on essential prescription drugs. This role requires robust technical skills, the ability to work cooperatively, and a strong commitment to collective growth and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with customers and address their needs promptly
• Develop and sustain a robust testing environment for both unit and automated evaluations
• Design and manage high-performance services that scale
• Collaborate extensively across different teams to make well-rounded design decisions
• Ensure high-quality code through thorough reviews
• Generate and assess technical design propositions and proofs of concept
• Advocate for best practices in engineering to elevate the team's standards
• Uphold operational excellence by performing rigorous testing, monitoring, and documentation as well as providing on-call support

Requirements

• Background in software development spanning at least 3 years
• Proficiency in Go with at least 2 years of experience
• Skills in gRPC and familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Significant expertise in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based web services, notably on AWS
• Competency in pushing code quality, championing best practices, ensuring continuous delivery, and endorsing automated testing
• Flexibility to adapt to various tools and technologies required for different projects
• Capability to operate independently when interacting with customers
• English proficiency at a B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Datadog for effective monitoring and analytics
• Understanding of GraphQL for optimized data querying
• Proficiency in TypeScript for building scalable front-end applications
• Knowledge of Redis as a data structure store
• Capability in Python for backend scripting and further development tasks
