Senior Backend Developer (Tel Aviv)

PayZen is a pioneering FinTech startup committed to addressing healthcare affordability issues. Backed by prestigious global investors, our product is designed to ease the financial burden of medical bills for both patients and healthcare providers. We provide a seamless, interest-free, and fee-free payment plan for patients, ensuring providers enjoy expedited cash flow and higher repayment rates. 

As we establish our core development team in Israel, we are in search of a seasoned Backend Developer to produce scalable FinTech software solutions. As a senior developer, it is hard to overstate the impact you’ll have on our product and company trajectory.

What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers and other software engineers to build groundbreaking user-centric products that change peoples lives.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Implement new features and user interfaces, keeping mobile-first always on top of your mind.
• Provide tech guidance to other team members.
• Help the team succeed as a whole.
• Have a chance to influence the architecture and design of the product.
• Take part in architectural decisions and discussions.
• Solve complex problems, create object models, define APIs, build web services, and more.
• Work directly with others (engineers and other internal stakeholders) to develop a solid understanding of the business application and requirements for which the application is being designed.

What you bring

• 4+ years of demonstrated experience in JavaScript technologies.
• At least 3 years of experience in NodeJS.
• Thorough understanding of user experience and product strategy.
• Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests.
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Appreciation for clean and well-documented code.
• You have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken, and are a natural communicator.
