What You’ll Do
Join Spotter's elite engineering team as a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Microservices and AI. This role demands a seasoned engineer with a deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and AI technologies. Your expertise will be instrumental in building and scaling our next-generation backend systems.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient microservices, focusing on high-throughput and low-latency requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and translate requirements into robust, scalable software solutions.
- Implement AI algorithms and models to enhance our Creator Tools suite.
- Help develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.
- Ensure system reliability by implementing robust monitoring and alerting capabilities.
- Maintain and improve our data storage solutions, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Uphold best practices in coding, architecture, and security.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our backend systems remain cutting-edge.
Who You Are
- Minimum of 6-10 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus in backend engineering
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional certifications in relevant technologies are a plus
- Extensive experience in building and maintaining microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Generative AI, OpenAI, LLama2, Stable Diffusion is a plus
- Strong experience in building microservices using NodeJS and related technologies (Express, NestJS, or other)
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform is a plus.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience with Github actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, particularly in the world of microservices
- Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively across multiple teams.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Culver City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $100K-$500K salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Spotter’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual discretionary bonus and equity.
