Position: Backend Developer

Salary: USD$6-10k / month

• Develop and maintain scalable systems using Ruby on Rails, Postgres, and Elasticsearch.

• Optimize performance and troubleshoot complex issues across the application.

• Design, develop, and maintain GraphQL APIs to support a React frontend.

• Integrate with various third-party APIs, ensuring reliability and security.

• Ensure code quality through comprehensive unit tests, code reviews, and best practices.

• Drive improvements in application performance, security, and scalability.

• Technical:

  • Proficiency with Ruby on Rails, including performance tuning and debugging.

  • Proficiency with Postgres and Elasticsearch.

  • Strong experience with GraphQL API design and implementation.

  • Solid understanding of background processing with Sidekiq or similar tools.

  • Familiarity with integrating and managing third-party APIs.

• Cultural Fit / Soft Skills:

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (proactive communication)

• Experience in data modeling, data cleaning, and machine learning (nice to have).

• Familiarity with web scraping techniques and tools (nice to have).

• Compensation: $6k - $10k USD / month (flexible)
