Opportunity

We are looking for a top-quality Senior Backend Python Engineer for a large-scale app launch. Our right fit is someone who enjoys solving problems, has deep experience with Python, cares about scalability, interacts effectively in a team environment, and takes ownership and pride in the work that they do.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain a scalable backend for a technology platform supporting AI-powered social products.
• Write efficient and reliable code for easy maintenance.
• Implement process improvements, automate tasks, and enhance infrastructure for scalability.
• Review architecture for adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with QA for high-quality mobile apps.
• Work with product and frontend teams to meet deadlines.
• Develop and manage cloud-based infrastructure (GCP).
• Optimize middle-tier architecture for efficient data processing and integration.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience building complex systems with Python.
• Strong Python skills, including Django or Flask web frameworks.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework.
• Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and GCP Spanner.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with distributed databases and SQL optimization.
• DevOps and CI/CD experience and knowledge of mobile app backend challenges.
• Strong communication skills and project ownership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Celery/Redis or other task processing and message queuing tools.
• Advanced skills with Django and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and AI principles.
• Experience in mobile application backend development iOS Proficiency in modern DevOps tools and methodologies.
