About Thrive Challenges: Thrive Challenges helps employers create a space for engagement and friendly competition among coworkers to reach new well-being goals. Backend engineers on the Thrive Challenges team will expand our suite of pre-built challenges and create tools to support the creation of custom challenges.
About Thrive for Teams: Thrive for Teams brings the Thrive experience to Microsoft Teams. Backend engineers working on Thrive for Teams will work with product, design, infrastructure, and other product teams to bring a new MS Teams app to market with special attention to distributed systems design.
About Thrive Reset: Thrive Reset helps bring a moment of calm and control to change the course of your day. Backend engineers on the Thrive Reset team will build out support for the creation of custom reset (and audio-visual experience), and global delivery of resets across mobile, web, chat, conference, and call centers.

Who You Are:- Have 4+ years of backend engineering experience
- Understand how to build scalable, resilient, and observable distributed systems
- Write high quality code in languages such as Java or Go
- Can debug complex problems across the whole stack
- Focus on the needs of our users, both internal and external
- Participate in the product development process from helping scope work to measuring success and iterating based on insights from usersÂ
- Thrive (no pun intended) in a collaborative environment developing and executing against immediate and long-term roadmaps & making effective tradeoffs considering business priorities, but always with the customer experience in mind
- Mentor engineers earlier in their technical careers to help them grow
- On Thrive for Teams: design, build, and maintain the infrastructure that connects the Thrive product suite to Microsoft Teams. Plan infrastructure improvements to support growth and enrichment of the Thrive experience within MS Teams.
- On the Pulse and Reset teams: Architect, build, and maintain elegant, robust, and powerful APIs, services, and systems in service of the teams’ missions.
- Alan Fitzpatrick, Tech Lead for the Thrive Pulse team, is helping give people vision into the stress and burnout of their employees, and identify targeted interventions to improve well-being.
- Antonio De Dios, Director of Engineering, is leading the Thrive Challenges team, which helps people create space to engage in friendly competition with their coworkers and reach new well-being goals.
- Ayrat Hudaygulov, Principal Engineer, Tech Lead for Thrive Reset team, delivers ways to reduce stress in just 60 seconds with pictures, music and quotes that bring people calm and joy.
