Senior Backend Engineer

As a member of the engineering team, you will have a unique opportunity to be involved in key decisions that will shape our product and system design as a senior backend engineer. Be prepared (and excited!) to wear multiple hats and learn new things as we all work together to design, build, and launch new products.

Responsibilities 

• Work closely with engineering leadership and product teams to architect a brand new product and platform
• Design and build new backend systems, focused on reliability and extensibility
• Write and review testable, scaleable code
• Research and evaluate key frameworks and tools to increase development speed and reduce time to market
• Collaborate with product, data, design, and other engineers to understand business requirements and build a great experience for our customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years development experience
• Experience building and scaling backend systems and designing enterprise level APIs
• Experience developing services on AWS, GCP, or similar cloud infrastructure environments
• Proficient in Go, JavaScript, Python, or other OOP language
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or other IAC tools is preferred
