Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

Voze is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with extensive experience in Python to join our team. Your primary focus will be developing robust, well-documented APIs that our mobile and frontend clients will utilize to interact with our data.

We are looking for someone with a founder mindset and the ability to think outside the box. You should be comfortable working independently, as well as collaborating with other engineers on the team. You should be comfortable developing fast and reliable integrations.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and user-friendly APIs using Python.
• Utilize PostgreSQL for data storage and management.
• Use Docker for application deployment and management.
• Create comprehensive API documentation to ensure easy understanding and effective usage by our clients.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers and the product team to ensure the APIs meet their needs.
• Facilitate seamless data interaction through the designed APIs.
• Apply strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve any API-related issues.
• Maintain high attention to detail to ensure the quality of the code.
• Commit to producing high-quality code, following best practices and standards.
• Continually update knowledge on new technologies and trends to keep our APIs current and efficient.

• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
• Strong experience with Python is required.
• Familiarity with data-driven projects and API design.
• Experience with caching and authentication mechanisms.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and Docker.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
