Your new role

You will be welcomed into our engineering department, which is divided into cross-functional, verticalized development teams, who are focused on delivering continuous improvements, features and developing new products. To support the delivery process and stability of our products, we can also count on our Product Support team, QA team, and SRE team who, alongside our Product and People team, Director/Architect and VP Engineering, are constantly looking to overcome new challenges, to innovate, and to ensure the success of our products and satisfaction of our customers.

Your challenge

• Develop and deliver software solutions that meet customer needs quickly and efficiently 
• Create the best-in-class software-, architecture- and code-design. Always searching for ways to improve the design and implementation. 
• Keep our codebase tested and secure 
• Profiling and benchmarking our codebase to identify bottlenecks 
• Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, logging, and e2e testing 
• Providing guidance to other engineers and act as a mentor 
• You strive for operational excellence through monitoring, logging & tracing. You embrace a “you-build-it-you-run-it" mentality in the team and the wider organization. 
• You proactively strive to improve processes, generate ideas & implement automations to make day-to-day tasks easier 

About you 

• At least 5 years of experience in backend software development. 
• You’ve been deploying, running & monitoring containerized software products using Kubernetes for more than 2 years in production. 
• You are expert with Node.JS/Typescript 
• You have built software using real-time communication protocols like FreeSWITCH with audio, video, text and other forms of media 
• You have experience with Speech-to-text/Text-to-speech APIs of different providers. 
• You have experience with DBs like Postgresql, MySQL, MongoDB 
• You are an expert in designing and improving automated tests. 
• Open to various programming languages and willing to learn continuously 
• You facilitate best in class communication skills in order to present new solutions, effectively communicate with the team and mentor less senior engineers. 
• You can work independently & collaboratively in multiple codebases and deliver key features in highest quality
