What You Bring to Parsyl

You will work on the core backend API of our platform and related data pipelines, serving our mobile and web applications, internal applications, and external customer and partner integrations. These APIs support Parsyl’s data-driven mission across essential supply chains and global health. As a member of a growing software team, you will work with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to deliver efficient, easily consumable, and highly impactful API and backend solutions.

Technologies Used by the Team

• Go, AWS Lambda, S3, Athena, API Gateway, RDS (Postgres), Terraform
• Javascript (Vue.js)

What you’ll get to work on:

• Design and execute API endpoints for all parts of our platform, including device and fleet management, sensor data, administration, data insights, and other critical solutions
• Collaborate with other engineers and contribute to evolving our backend architecture
• Work with mobile, web, hardware, and data engineering teams
• Design best possible solutions with product management
• Collaborate with hardware engineering and data teams
• Design and manage API documentation

Qualified candidates will show evidence of experience in:

• Anticipating technical issues at the product level and making architectural and design decisions to avoid them.
• Creating significant improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems.
• Utilizing API architectural best practices to build and improve new API architecture.
• Programming in Golang.
• Communicating clearly in both verbal and written forms with an emphasis on documenting decisions and reasoning.
• Proactively identifying problems with requirements for their own work and adjacent work.
• Identifying and proposing strategies around technical problems affecting their team, communicating standards, and getting buy-in on solutions.
• Delivering functionality sooner and iteratively. Ability to think like the customer and empathize with their challenges.

Benefits

Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $150,000-$170,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills.
