Senior Backend Software Engineer, IT Automation & Security

You will be bootstrapping a new IT security engineering team of Teleport, unified access plane for SSH, Kubernetes and Database infrastructure.

Nasdaq, SumoLogic and Samsung Electronics trust Teleport to secure access to their infrastructure.

Teleport is an open core product, written in Golang with web-based UIs in JavaScript with React.

Here are the projects you may be working on:

• Building IT workflows in Temporal and Golang, deploying to EKS Kubernetes.
• Building and integrating IT automation & security with Teleport Identity and Teleport Policy, our internal product and collaborating with our Teleport Identity engineering team on dogfooding efforts.
• Writing integrations with Panther, JamF Pro, Okta, Rippling, Google Enterprise Browser.
• Building hardened security & automation for Mac desktops.

What to expect once you apply:

• We will send you a 20-30 minute programming quiz
• You will join 30 minute intro call and we will walk you through the compensation, interview process and requirements
• You join a slack channel and submit a coding challenge in Golang using Github

Requirements:

• Willingness and ability to roll up your sleeves and work across traditional IT tasks - setting up and debugging IT tools, Okta, Rippling, Zendesk, helping customers with their setup and dive deep into K8s and Golang + Temporal.
• This is a challenging and hard job across multiple disciplines, we are looking for folks who are up to this challenge.
• Strong Golang experience is a must have.
• Strong Linux systems engineering experience, Kubernetes.
• Strong IT security & administration experience.

Joining a startup, you should be comfortable changing the area of focus and working directly with our internal customers, Zendesk support.
