Position Summary

We are looking for a senior backend developer to help design and build our event-driven evidence capture, governance and reporting APIs, and integrations with third party systems. Additionally, this engineer will be expected to design and implement novel solutions that further the mission of the company. Candidates should have deep experience developing mission critical backend software, implementing event-driven architecture, and building modern CI/CD pipelines. Position Requirements:

• Has at least 5 years experience building production backend systems in one or more of the following languages: Golang, Java, C++, Rust, C#

• Shows a deep understanding of event-driven architecture

• Has experience using event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ in a production environment

• Has experience working on container-based cloud infrastructure frameworks such as Docker or

  Kubernetes within common cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Is an expert in design and building data stores using relational databases such as PostgreSQL

• Holds a BS degree or higher in a computer science or shows commensurate work experience

• Has experience in DevOps and Agile methodologies, working on a product team

• Is a dynamic and scrappy engineer, capable of contributing to the full stack

• Is willing to learn new technologies and make an impact in all areas of the company

• Thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

• Believes in writing clean, high-quality code

• Demonstrates great judgement

• Is comfortable being challenged and willing to challenge others
