We are looking for a skilled Senior BI Developer who can help us build and maintain a scalable and reliable data platform that supports our internal and external data needs. As a Senior BI Developer focused on data engineering within our Internal IT group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying data pipelines, data models, and data integrations that enable data ingestion, transformation, and delivery for various applications and stakeholders. You will also be involved in migrating our data infrastructure from a legacy data warehouse to a modern data lake architecture, using Azure Data Lake and other cloud-based tools. You will work closely with other BI developers, analysts, and business leaders to understand their data requirements, provide data solutions, and ensure data quality and security. You will also stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and apply them to improve our data platform and processes.
A Day in the Life
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders, other BI developers, and analysts to design and develop data pipelines, data models, and data integrations that meet business and technical needs
- Connect with Stoneridge leaders to discuss data requirements and demonstrate data solutions
- Troubleshoot data issues and ensure data quality and consistency
- Optimize existing data pipelines and data models by adopting innovative technologies and techniques
- Assist with the migration of data infrastructure from legacy data warehouse to data lake structure
- Participate in scrum ceremonies including sprint planning/review, daily stand ups, and demos
- Plan work within internal sprints by identifying deliverables, milestones, phases, and activities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop improved processes and solutions across data engineering
- Track and report progress against plan while working with management to remove roadblocks
- Communicate data architecture and design to cross-functional stakeholders including management and leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Engineer, Data Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role
- 3+ years of experience working with Power BI, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, or other cloud-based data tools
- 3+ years of experience working with Structured Query Language (SQL) and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 applications is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications (e.g., Finance & Operations or Customer Engagement) is preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and desire to stay current on latest trends and techniques
Work Location: This position is available on a REMOTE basis in the United States or REMOTE in Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan).

Travel Required: Incumbent is expected to regularly meet with client teams across the United States and Canada will be asked to attend industry events from time to time.

Compensation
- Our philosophy is to provide compensation that is Competitive, Equitable, and Driven by Performance. Various factors impact our pay ranges including market conditions and national salary data. To determine competitive salaries within this range we consider candidates skills, qualifications, and experience. These are national ranges, inclusive of bonus opportunities and could represent multiple role levels.
US (USD): $92,200 - $117,500
Canada (CAD): C$91,700 - C$113,600
