Roche has established the Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE) at Chennai to drive analytics & technology-driven solutions by partnering with Roche affiliates across the globe.

As a Senior BI Developer, you will design, develop, implement and deliver Tableau Applications to support business needs. The candidate needs to collaborate with business and IT to identify key business requirements. The ideal candidate needs to have experience in visual design and development with Tableau.

Your Opportunity

• Interact with business stakeholders / partners to understand their business and reporting needs, including critical metrics and KPIs

• Transform business requirements into a guided analytics prototype to provide business and data insights

• Design, develop and QA Tableau applications integrating reporting components from multiple data sources

• Work closely with BI team to provide input on appropriate solutions to meet business requirements and are consistent with current reporting standards and processes

Who you are

• You holds a bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Computer Applications, IT, Electronics or Software Engineering) with 4+ years of IT development experience in Tableau

• Prior experience or knowledge of pharmaceuticals or health care industry landscape is an added advantage

• Hands on experience in Tableau development, dashboarding and data modeling and reporting (ad hoc report generation) techniques

• Experience in developing BI Solutions supporting sales performance reporting and end-to-end implementation of BI projects for developing a portfolio of scorecards, KPIs, reports & dashboards

• Experience in writing and debugging SQL queries and SQL Performance tuning

• Experience in data modeling, data cleansing and data transformation activities using various techniques including SQL, etc

• Experience in optimizing dashboards with focus on usability, performance, flexibility and standardization

• Exposure in integrating with Big Data platforms

• Alteryx knowledge is nice to have
