Position Summary:
We are looking for experienced Big Data Infrastructure Engineers to support Big Data operations, solve complex issues, and drive growth. Our traditional, yet innovative, multi-cloud Big Data environments requires keen attention to keep peak performance. On the Big Data Architecture team, you will partner with the Big Data Development group to maximize their Apache Hive and realtime data jobs transforming vast amounts of data to provide insights. You will partner with other cloud professionals to implement new solutions, to adhere to best practices, and to ensure the security and quality of our data to the delight of our consumers.
Responsibilities:

• Design data architecture solutions on cloud platforms for scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, and elasticity.
• Manage the day-to-day big data infrastructure, including monitoring and maintaining the clusters performance, and security of the systems.
• Develop and implement policies for monitoring and controlling access to big data platforms and sensitive data.
• Identify Big Data Platform areas that can be improved, propose better solutions for storage, performance tuning and volume management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams such as, AI teams, big data engineers, SRE & Security teams, and business stakeholders to optimize big data systems that meet those teams requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the big data team, ensuring that team members have the skills and knowledge required to meet the organization's big data needs.
• Participate in strategy development, requirements analysis, Agile, Product team sessions contributing to communication of standards, and new technology needs assessments.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Mandarin speaking is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka and ElasticSearch etc.
• 5+ years of experience with building or maintaining software systems, including software engineering, API development, data pipeline development, or data infrastructure management.
• 3+ years of experience participating in an agile DevOps build and release environment.
• Expertise in hands-on design and the implementation of big data architectures on cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong experience in configuring and administering security tools such as Apache Ranger and Apache Knox.
• Familiarity with tools for monitoring and troubleshooting big data systems such as Ambari and Cloudera Manager.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functional global teams, as data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand business requirements and design big data systems that meet those requirements.
• Strong ability to think strategically and align design and architecture patterns to drive current needs as well as future growth.

Pay: $120,400.00 min. - $175,000.00 max annually, Bonus & RSU's Offered
