Senior Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help build, operate, and scale our decentralized blockchain infrastructure technology. As a key member of the team, you will help deploy and upgrade node software for common blockchains, manage relationships with key Layer 1 engineering teams, and work with our Engineering team to create a robust, automated system for managing deployments. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, curious, takes initiative, is energized by new challenges, and has both blockchain and DevOps experience.
Our headquarters are located in New York with a satellite office in Boston, but we welcome remote candidates for this position.
Job Responsibilities:

• Researching, deploying, and upgrading blockchain node software to create a fleet of up-to-date nodes constantly participating in network consensus
• Gathering and presenting insightful data across compute and cloud providers to guide decision making and proactive optimizations
• Remain in an on-call rotation with other engineers on the team to troubleshoot critical downtime.
• Lead and contribute to the development of staking engineering standards, best-practices, metrics, and tooling.
• Design and implement feature improvements and tools for blockchain node infrastructure
• Aggregate statistics about staking metrics and node/network performance

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of industry experience as a full-stack or backend developer
• Strong knowledge of and experience working with large cloud providers and infrastructure-as-code or IT automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Experience working with container and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge and experience working with various technologies and languages (such as NodeJS, Python, Rust, Go)
• 2+ years experience working with Proof of Stake protocols
• Excellent understanding of industry trends and best practices

• Ability to execute under pressure and within tight timelines while juggling multiple projects
• Strong people and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Demonstrated interest, activity, and engagement with the crypto ecosystem
• Local to the NY area

Compensation: The expected base salary for this New York based position ranges from $ 130-180 k. The actual base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, relevant certifications, skills, and geographic location. In addition to base salary and the competitive benefits package listed above, this position is eligible for additional types of compensation.
