Senior Budget Analyst

Position
The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) is the U.S. Government agency in charge of designing, building, launching, and maintaining America's intelligence satellites.

What You'll Do
- Interact with senior leadership and other NRO Government officials to support budget formulation, justification, execution, and review. Examples include but are not limited to:
- Conduct fiscal and budget research across NRO
- Prepare and review artifacts for NRO and external stakeholders
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses
- Develop and present directorate level recommendations including resource allocations and corrective actions
- Identify, reconcile, monitor and report potential fiscal issues
- Analyze fiscal and resource activities and positions
- Support and defend fiscal and budget activities, resource allocations, and variance analyses
- Interact with Program Managers (PM), Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), and Contracting Officers (COs) and provide daily financial and business management support. Examples include but are not limited to:
- Support program level fiscal reviews, budget activities, resource reallocations, and variance analyses
- Conduct fiscal and budget research across MID, programs, and projects
- Analyze program fiscal and resource activities and positions
- Prepare and review program level artifacts for MID, NRO, and external stakeholders
- Identify, reconcile, monitor, and report potential program and project fiscal issues
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses
- Develop and present program and project level recommendations including resource allocations and corrective actions
- Maintain awareness of and comply with NRO, IC and external stakeholder internal controls, policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
- Maintain, reconcile, and analyze financial position in all NRO financial systems to provide complete, accurate, and timely budget and execution status and reporting
- Process, monitor, track, and report a high volume of funds consistent with NRO policies and processes
- Identify, recommend, and implement efficiencies to manage and improve fiscal operations, transparency, and defensibility of fiscal equities
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors and/or applicable experience supporting NRO or IC leadership
- Solid experience in Budget Analysis
- In-depth business and financial background
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, TIER and/or SAP
- Prior NRO support experience desired
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
