Job Description
Summary
Responsible for independently managing and coordinating all internal activities required for the development and approval of all matters pertaining to pricing and contracts for assigned customers and/or territories. Responsibilities also include contract creation, pricing optimization, development of customer/account business plans, implementation and monitoring of contract compliance programs. Supports the sales organization with customer pricing inquiries and resolves customer pricing issues. Strong inter personal skills are required to create cross functional relationships with Health Care Systems, Legal, Product and Sales Management, and foster change management throughout the company.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for leading cross functional teams in the completion of all bids and requests for proposals. This includes creation of proposal documents, cross references, customer analysis and development of pricing strategy for each response. - 25%
- Prepare customer agreements including redlining customer provided documents to comply with company approved practices, creating new legal documents and completing customer negotiations regarding disputed terms and conditions. - 20%
- Responsible for supporting Sales and Heath Care Systems with customer pricing inquiries, customer analysis, business plan development, pricing exception requests and other items as requested. - 20%
- Manage book of customer contracts for assigned customers and/or territories including: managing monthly expirations, reviewing expirations for price optimization, creating new contract documents as required and communicating changes with customers and trade partners. - 10%
- Develop, implement and track pricing initiatives to optimize revenue through price. - 5%
- Analyze and report with accuracy and timeliness pricing and contract key performance indicators monthly. - 5%
- Assist Pricing Optimization Manager with special projects and other duties as assigned. - 5%
- Is team lead for training of junior business analysts and contract administrators. Audits accuracy and timeliness of trainees throughout the training process. - 5%
- Coordinates and evaluates the training of Healthcare Systems and Sales and Support Personnel as it relates to contract and pricing issues. - 5%
Requirements
Education: A BS/BA is required preferably in business, finance, statistics, or mathematics.
Experience: 5+ years in Finance, Pricing, Contracts or Analytics with experience in pharmaceuticals or medical device industry preferred
Competencies:
Supervision: Must be able to work independently and only require guidance in complex situations.
Other: Experience with CPQ, ModelN, SAP a plus
Travel: Domestic- Up to 10%
