Dev Technology Group is recruiting for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to work with a dynamic Data team. This team member will be responsible for collaborating with the customer and the Agile team members to analyze requirements to ensure client needs and expectations are met. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and in coordination with other team members and other intersecting teams, and ready to dive in with any tasks needed to complete the work. We are looking for a candidate who wants to dig in and learn about our customer's mission and how the data relates to it.   

What You'll Be Doing: 

• Talk to stakeholders and team members, research issues, document solutions
• Create user stories and tasks in JIRA, and assist with administration of JIRA
• Interact with customers and end users, contributing workable solutions to issues that are timely and effective
• Create functional test plans and execute system testing when needed 
• Support the technical team lead in ensuring our work is clearly communicated and prioritized 

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of business analyst experience in software development
• Experience on teams that manage a variety of diverse data sources
• Understanding of databases, how they are designed and how to understand the data    
• Experience with data analysis, using SQL to pull data out of a database
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
• Detail-oriented approach to business requirements documentation
• Excellent diplomacy and communication skills with both clients and technical staff
• Proactive approach to relationship building with business team members
• Demonstrated experience with Jira (or similar tool)
• Experience with agile development methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, or Lean practices
• Demonstrates a passion for solving complex software challenges, and enjoys working alongside fellow team members to make that happen

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification or training
• Interest in becoming a people care manager
• Ability to learn the basic underlying technologies of a system
