Your future team
Our CSS business intelligence team is comprised of a group talent individuals with different backgrounds in business analytics. We analyze large datasets to identify business opportunities. We work with our department leaders and teams to define requirements for data visualization projects. We work with data engineers to implement changes needed in data models. We define metrics to measure the impact and build reports to monitor them.
We're hiring a senior business analyst as an individual contributor reporting to the business analytics manager. You are a an experienced analyst with a background in analytics, expertise in building data tooling and insights to lead business decision-making for large organizations collaborating with different partners.
What you'll do

• Dig into a variety of large datasets and identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to move business forward
• Understand workflows, define business metrics to measure the impact
• Deliver scaled reporting and self-serve analytics solutions with high visibility
• Partner with data engineers to build a scalable data infrastructure for analytics

Your background

• 8+ years of experience in business analytics with the ability to work with partners individually to bring projects to execution
• B.S. in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other relevant quantitative discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Operations Research, Finance)
• Background in data visualization tools, statistics, measurement, SQL, data instrumentation, automation scripting tools like Python
• Success with telling data stories to non-technical audience
• Familiarity with driving analytical projects execution work with partners

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable and explainable compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $125,600 - $167,400
Zone B: $113,000 - $150,700
Zone C: $104,200 - $138,900
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
