Senior Business Analyst

The Senior Business Analyst must be skilled in translating business objectives into business/functional requirements that conform to the overall program/project objectives. The Senior Business Analyst must be analytical and have a solid understanding of technology and business systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the technical team as well as agency business leads to drive project planning and execution of complex enterprise application development/ configuration projects within set project targets and deadlines. Primary Responsibilities

Collaborate with key business personnel to understand the processes, procedures and workflow and document business processes.

Examine business requests for feasibility; conduct detailed analysis of current and future needs and create a GAP analysis document.

Develop strong business relationships and act as a liaison between the business and technical teams. Work closely with subject matter experts, technical staff, internal and external stakeholders during the requirement elicitation and documentation process.

Configure and support application with the help of technical staff.

Act as a subject matter expert on the product implementation team working with the team to break down requirements into clear user stories for the team to develop and deliver.

Work with the product implementation team to ensure that the acceptance criteria are met, and the software meets project objectives and expectations as defined by the business units.

Assist with documenting detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, meeting notes and status reports.

Education, Skills and Competencies

Bachelor's Degree required (business or technical degrees are preferred)

At least 5 years of professional business analysis experience

Knowledge of the accepted practices of the Business Analysis profession

Ability to work independently and in an agile manner

Ability to manage multiple tasks, changing priorities and be flexible

Experience in gathering and managing requirements from project inception to deployment

Experience in facilitating requirement analysis sessions with diverse stakeholder groups through requirements meetings, workshops, JAD sessions etc. to develop business/functional requirements while ensuring that requirements adequately support the functional components of the business

Experience in creating visual diagrams of systems
