Job Description

Overview of job:

This Senior Business Systems Analyst (SR BSA) will be a valued member of the client's Business Services Support team. The SR BSA is expected to work independently and collaboratively with the client, team members, and other vendors working on the client's Projects and Initiatives. The candidate will work with the client providing business and clinical expertise to assist with modernizing their Medicaid Enterprise and enhancing their existing Medicaid operations, with primary focus on MMIS and as needed with the Eligibility and Enrollment or other Medicaid Enterprise systems.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with requirement definition for various program areas
  • Review and validate requirements deliverables
  • Identify and support resolution of risks and issues impacting progress and outcome of the project
  • Research and provide recommendations to the TennCare client on critical business decisions
  • Validate that system functionality has been implemented and satisfies the project requirements
  • Assist with implementation and changes during all project phases, including operations and maintenance phase, within assigned business areas
  • Review and comment on deliverables per project schedules
  • Evaluate business artifacts, business flows, design artifacts, and requirements mapping
  • Contribute to the project's overall understanding of Tennessee business requirements for multiple program areas
  • Facilitate meetings with the client, partner agencies, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and other stakeholders to discuss and resolve testing issues and elaborate requirements
  • Collaborate with other project areas and team members to provide subject matter expertise and assistance as applicable
  • Perform periodic assessment activities with focus on requirements traceability and testing
  • Attend project and status meetings
  • Ensure that all project identified processes and methodologies are followed as applicable
  • Actively align work to internal and client standards, processes, and procedures
  • Employee is expected to undertake any additional duties as they are assigned by their manager

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years' demonstratable knowledge of standard Medicaid MMIS experience
  • A minimum 10 years' demonstratable experience working in a Sr. Business analyst role
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working on large, complex systems projects
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience using strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate concepts to technical and non-technical audiences with various levels of expertise
  • At least 1 year experience with traditional waterfall project management and SDLC methodologies
  • Must be able to travel to Nashville, Tennessee 50% of the time, post COVID-19 restrictions

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong Business Analyst experience with Gainwell's MMIS solution, interChange
  • Strong customer relations skills and problem solving
  • BA Certification
  • Experience with Eligibility and Enrollment, Identity and Access Management, Master Data Management, Long Term Services and Supports or other Medicaid Enterprise Systems
  • Collaborator and a consistent, dependable performer with an excellent work ethic, flexible "can-do" attitude, the ability to work independently, and a results-driven commitment to success
  • Knowledge of CMS Certification process and requirements

For Colorado Candidates

In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rules, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. For a candidate in the state of Colorado only, the starting pay range for this role is $91,000 to $130,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including actual work location, relevant experience (internal or external), technical skills, and other qualifications.
