Senior Business Analyst, AWS (Contract)

We are seeking a Contract Senior Business Analyst with AWS experience to join our growing team. In this role, the Senior Business Analyst will develop data-driven insights and solutions for multiple business groups, delivering actionable, information-based solutions that align with strategic goals and enhance overall business insights.

Please note: this role requires previous experience as a Business Analyst, with AWS expertise. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Propose original, innovative insights and strategic direction to key stakeholders, applying methodologies creatively to support decisions on capital investments, budgeting, site selection, and store/regional performance
• Design and conduct analyses, such as heat maps and Net Present Value (NPV) analysis, to assess the impact of business decisions
• Develop future market strategies and effectively present findings to stakeholders
• Research and analyze key business drivers, competitive landscape, opportunities, trends, and performance metrics
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to shape business direction, ensuring insights inform future decisions
• Perform complex quantitative analyses and advanced modeling, translating data into actionable insights
• Design, develop, and deliver sophisticated analytical solutions, providing decision support or models, and communicate findings effectively
• Develop predictive models to assess future scenarios and perform statistical analysis to form conclusions and recommendations
• Review and audit the work of Business Analysts I and II
• Stay updated on the latest industry technologies, methodologies, trends, and strategies
• Support employees, vendors, and other customers by addressing inquiries related to data analysis processes and procedures, delivering exceptional service

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on AWS 
• 5+ years of experience in operations, product, and financial analysis, with expertise in developing insights through regression models and statistical analysis
• Advanced experience with statistical tools (R, SAS) and front-end reporting tools such as MicroStrategy preferred
• Proven experience working with senior-level executive leadership 
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Advanced expertise with modeling tools for cluster analysis and predictive modeling
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to read and write complex queries
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex, technical topics to a variety of audiences
• Strong understanding of business issues, priorities, goals, and strategy
• Experience with retail, manufacturing, store operations, automotive, and/or real estate industries a plus
• Self-driven; the ability to work independently, define a way forward, and solve problems with limited direction; proven capacity to drive results in an evolving and complex organization
• Exceptional customer service skills; skilled at handling customer interactions positively and professionally
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• A respect for confidentiality as well as for others; a commitment to company values
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Digitally-savvy and well-informed on innovations, trends, and technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematical sciences, finance, economics, or related field; Master’s degree a plus
