Senior Business Analyst (Salesforce)

Position Overview:

Outset is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst, Salesforce to manage the full development lifecycle that translates business requirements into functioning software systems, services, and solutions aligned to enable business operations. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for scoping, designing, delivering and supporting technology solutions that enable critical business processes across the enterprise, with a primary focus on Sales and Service. You will partner directly with key stakeholders to understand business goals and optimize business processes through the successful delivery of technology solutions on the Salesforce.com platform and related systems.

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented IT professional capable of delivering significant technology initiatives and outstanding IT support in a rapid growth environment, and will lead the delivery of enhancements by implementing configuration changes in Salesforce, including the creation of custom objects, workflows, flows, validation rules and approval processes. You will also partner with external developer resources as required to deliver advanced customizations

We are looking for an individual that is passionate about leading complex projects and initiatives geared towards enabling the optimization of end-to-end processes. Largely, this position requires a combination of business acumen, technical knowledge and relationship building skills to scope, design and deliver integrated solutions with a rapid time-to-value.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Facilitate discussions and collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business processes and elicit, define, and analyze business requirements; create and maintain thorough, up-to-date, functional, and technical systems documentation
• Lead the delivery of enhancements by implementing configuration changes in Salesforce, including the creation of custom objects, workflows, flows, validation rules and approval processes; partner with external developer resources as required to deliver advanced customizations
• Develop and maintain project plans, manage risks and issues, and provide regular project status updates
• Work with the business users and corporate quality teams to develop test plans and procedures, validate the application design, define acceptance criteria and verify system functionality against business requirements
• Facilitate effective application testing; analyze and resolve defects
• Collaborate with business partners on deployment including training, change management, and communications
• Assist in development of custom queries, reports and dashboards for business users
• Support production systems including analyzing and resolving production problems and end user service requests
• This position can be remote, but Pacific Time Zone is preferred

Required Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Information Systems and 5-7 years experience as a business systems analysis
• Knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle process (SDLC); and Waterfall or Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills and the ability to exercise mature judgment and structured decision-making
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to clearly communicate across all levels of the organization and effectively influence within a dynamic matrix environment
• Creative, flexible, and collaborative in approach to technical problem solving
• In-depth knowledge of the Salesforce.com platforms configuration, architecture, and implementation best practices, including experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Salesforce Lightning
• Mastery of unit testing, software change management, and software release management
• Ability to manage a variety of constituencies with competing priorities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies; experience with software validation in a GxP environment is a plus
• Experience with project management methodologies and as a Product Owner in Scrum or Agile development environment is a plus
• Experience managing systems and data in compliance with regulatory requirements, (e.g. FDA, SOX, HIPAA).

The Annual Salary Range for this role will be: $106,000 - $144,000*
