Senior Business Analyst, Systems and Data Strategy (Boston)

Klaviyo is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst with experience in information architecture, data engineering and project management. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing functional and systems requirements for existing and net new systems requests on behalf of the Customer Success and Support organization.

You will closely partner with GTM leadership, Data Engineering, Corporate IT and Systems Engineering to provide best in end to end business user experience by:  

• Acting as a key point of contact for collecting quarterly strategic priorities for the Success and Support organization. Partnering with operations counterparts on larger cross functional initiatives while aligning Systems and Engineering roadmaps. Ensuring prioritization and delivery of business related needs. 
• Identifying gaps in tooling and data infrastructure required to support current and future state business capabilities.
• Establishing specifications for new projects; developing project goals, phases, and post-launch performance metrics.
• Reviewing and measuring impact of correlating system and engineering projects delivered on behalf of the business units you support. 
• Ensuring the on time delivery of solutions for business capabilities tied to technical or data infrastructure related initiatives.
• Reporting common patterns, questions, and other issues to IT and Engineering teams for further investigation.
• Conduct market and internal research to help validate the need for net new systems, upgrades and improvements.
• Evaluate system and business data pipeline performance, information architecture and usage.
• Track implementation project progress and report on progress to key stakeholders.
• Develop project delivery best practices and procedures in alignment with IT and Engineering team operating charter.

In this role, you will also help with the design, build and maintenance of standardized data structures used by our Analyst team and GTM organization. You will quickly come up to speed on existing pipeline and business data management practices. Ensuring adoption of industry best-practices for data consumption across Analytics and Systems teams.

How You Will Make a Difference:

• Aid in the development of and evangelize core business data governance programs across the GTM Operations and Analytics organization. 
• Design and develop data schemas and implementation strategies to provide fast insight turnaround on owned Customer Operations data.
• Partner closely with Corporate IT to understand and remain up to date on current GTM system configuration, advising on optimization opportunities and risks.
• End to end management and oversight of business critical GTM operating roadmap tied to technology and data management.
• Collaborate with and assist Corporate IT, Business Intelligence, and Engineering teams as it relates to ongoing development projects impacting core Customer Success and Support business capabilities.
• Work directly with cross functional partners and business stakeholders to define project requirements related to optimizing data ingestion across GTM systems.
• Document and maintain our GTM Operations data design and deployment process in close alignment with the Business Intelligence team. 

Who You Are:

• 5-7+ years of production experience in designing, creating and maintaining data driven business solutions and solving problems using a wide variety of technologies and modern data architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to independently identify, manage and drive cross functional projects. Experience partnering with both technical and non technical stakeholders to understand needs and opportunities.Hands-on experience with python, data transformation, SQL queries, and optimization.
• Experience leveraging Cloud-based DFS (eg. AWS S3, Google Storage Buckets, Azure Blob Storage)
• You understand data modeling, data access, and data storage, caching, replication, and optimization techniques.
• Experience with automated analysis of data quality and validation.
• High proficiency working with large, heterogeneous datasets in building/optimizing data pipelines using ELT, data replication, API access, data virtualization, stream data integration, and emerging technologies.
