Senior Business Development Manager
Job Description
PointCentral is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to be a part of a team within the rapidly growing Multifamily PropTech / IoT sector. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and/or business development with a demonstrated ability to prospect for new business while possessing a highly consultative and strategic approach to generating new business. In this highly visible role, this person will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work with several departments both internally and externally and have a background in both smart home technology and the multifamily vertical.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Prospects for new business by cold calling, researching new clients and networking, crafting strategic email campaigns, and participating in key industry events
- Effectively deliver product demonstrations to prospects/customers to showcase value of Industry Intelligence while delivering solutions that meet/achieve customer needs
- Provides a consultative, value-based sales experience to prospects
- Effectively influences the sales process even while selling through the channel partner
- Develops strong, strategic relationships with both service providers who are authorized to re-sell PointCentral solutions, and strategic multifamily accounts to achieve aggressive activation quotas
- Researches and analyzes new areas of opportunity within the business to increase revenue and profitability based on consumer behavior and other identifying factors
- Liaises with other PointCentral team members and PointCentral Service Provider Partners to represent the needs of the multifamily vertical
- All other responsibilities and projects, as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 10+ years of enterprise sales experience with proven track record of seven figure quota achievement
- Experience working with multiple decision makers at the C-Suite level in the Multifamily Industry to identify needs and deliver complex, technology-based solutions for a real estate portfolio
- Ability to demonstrate successful ownership & quantified growth of strategic enterprise accounts
- Candidate has a rolodex of contacts within the Property Management vertical (Owners, Developers, Key Property Management contacts), and preferred knowledge
- Previous experience or understanding of channel sales model a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Successful history of client and account management and business development
- Strong understanding of smart home technologies and SaaS business models
- Accountable for results, with excellent follow-through
- Strong technical and computer skills aptitude
- Team player, positive attitude and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet a minimum of 40% travel for industry events and key customer opportunities
