DMi Partners is looking for an experienced Business Development leader to join our fast-growing organization. The Senior Business Development Manager - Email will be the lead responsible for growing the client base for our email marketing service through outbound sales channels. The ideal candidate will have experience with outbound sales development for email marketing technology or services. Experience directly with email marketing technologies or services is required. To be successful in this role, the individual will have to utilize consultative sales skills to move sales-qualified opportunities throughout the pipeline.
The Business Development & Client Strategy team focuses on moving prospective clients through the entire sales cycle (prospecting through client onboarding). Your role follows a clear path from understanding critical market conditions, researching prospective clients, and connecting with marketing decision-makers who can benefit by partnering with DMi.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:Â
Expand: In this role, you will specifically work closely with the email marketing campaign team to expand the client base for DMi’s email marketing services.
Strategize: You will collaborate with brand decision-makers to strategize solutions for their digital marketing goals by expressing the value of DMi’s email marketing solutions. You will be held responsible for proposals, contracts sent, and contracts closed.
Full-cycle Sales: You will initially work with DMi’s senior-level sales executives to co-pitch sales-qualified leads for our email marketing services. Quickly you will move on to tackling the entire new business development process from running the initial exploratory call with prospective clients, identifying & assessing opportunities, creating proposals, leading proposal presentations, and owning the contracting process, through the sales cycle until a client is onboarded.Â
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:Â
- You have 2+ years of experience in managing business development initiatives for an Email Marketing Agency or Email Service Provider
- You have a proven track record of experience achieving sales activity quotas and defined revenue goalsÂ
- You have experience building custom pitch decks and proposals based on client pain points and proposed solutionsÂ
- You have a strong knowledge of the digital marketing landscape; preferably performance marketing channels including but not limited to affiliate and email marketing, as well as agency business modelsÂ
- You have previous experience in sales prospecting, networking, pipeline management, and new business development Â
- You have a Bachelor’s degree
