JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of the Senior Business Development Representative position is to drive bookings and recurring revenue growth by generating, qualifying, and developing sales pipeline within for Field, or Carrier & DCM teams. As a senior BDR, you will be the face of the company for new prospects, and another helpful touchpoint for existing Vertafore accounts. You will be expected to navigate a complex, enterprise-style prospecting motion and uncover large value opportunities for the sales teams that you support. You will also work with these teams directly to receive feedback, make changes to product targets and discuss strategy. While your primary responsibility will be prospect/customer outreach, as a Senior BDR, you will also have additional leadership opportunities within the BDR team. You will act as a resource lead, helping your team by reinforcing the sales training fundamentals Vertafore teaches, answering questions/assisting new reps, attending certain Bootcamp sessions for new hires and act as team leader when the manager is unavailable or out of the office. With good performance, Senior BDRs will also be given special consideration during promotion/other career growth discussions as well as increased visibility to senior sales leadership.
Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
Essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
· Execute the Vertafore Lead & Opportunity Management process for building sales pipeline.
· Possess a working understanding of Salesforce.com and other key sales technologies used for Business Development and Opportunity creation.
· Collaborate with Marketing & Product teams to execute campaigns that ensure lead quality and quantity with proper closed-loop metric reporting.
· Regularly perform against individual monthly and/or quarterly targets: pipeline, conversion rates, and stage "Zero" Opportunities which may consist of meetings, appointments virtually, demos, or follow-up calls assigned to quota carrying sales reps in Vertafore.
· Collaborate with internal sales operations stakeholders on reporting and analysis.
· Chart and Deliver timely and accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
· Ensure CRM tools and Vertafore value-selling methodologies are leveraged to process and track opportunities.
· Manage complex business conversations with large agencies and insurance carriers
· When manager is unavailable: run daily huddles, answer questions, assist teammates with call techniques, etc.
· Assist with certain bootcamp training sessions & help create a welcoming environment for new hires
Expected Qualifications:
· 3-6 months of tenure as BDR (inbound or outbound, but bulk of experience must be with outbound team)

· Consistent daily prospecting effort
· Willingness to engage (when appropriate) during huddles, training sessions & company meetings
· Demonstrate mastery of BDR systems, daily processes & prospecting technique
· Demonstrate initiative in working with sales partners, sales managers, & managing your pipeline of created opportunities
· Confidence to prospect and develop new sales leads
· Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
