Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

System1 is looking for a Sr. BI Reporting Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. We provide reporting solutions to our data-dependent teams throughout the company. This includes teams that are responsible for optimization, machine learning and model performance, and monitoring the overall health of our various business lines and advertising channels. 

In this role you will be working with engineering teams across System1 to ensure that we have the highest quality of data in and out of the platform. Attention to detail and a desire to learn are key to this position. Tableau is our current reporting solution, and as our business grows we are always open to new tools or technology that support our goals. The Role You Will Have

• Act as a consultant to stakeholders to understand requirements, and architect and deliver on a solution tailor-made for their particular needs
• Transform, enrich, and aggregate data from dozens of data sources to provide efficient solutions at an enterprise level
• Collaborate with the larger BI team to improve our data accuracy, usability, and value through the creation of efficient processes regarding data flow and data quality
• Continuously develop both your technical and industry knowledge by staying up to date with current changes, new tools, and formal training
• Collaborate with engineering teams in BI, Data Science & ML, and Marketing to perform data investigations and implement technical solutions on the backend

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree (technical or science) preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong data visualization and design skills
• 5+ years building dashboards and reports in Tableau Desktop - additional experience with tools such as PowerBI, Sigma, or Looker is also valued
• 5+ years working in SQL (Postgres / MySQL / MSSQL or similar) in a production environment
• Strong SQL query skills (CTE’s, stored procedures, multi-table joins, temp tables) with large data sets
• Ability to advocate for the best solution, while adapting to limitations, ambiguous requirements, or other blockers 
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Project Management Methodologies
• Experience with Tableau Cloud platform management and user access management

The base salary range in Canada for this full-time position is $127,000 - $159,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all U.S. and Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. System1 offers flexible work arrangements for most employees (unless they hold positions which are identified as having to be 100% onsite in Marina del Rey, CA, Bellevue, WA or Guelph, ON Canada). Most System1 full-time employees choose to work in a hybrid environment, splitting their time between working in our offices and working remotely. System1 allows fully-remote work in the following provinces: Ontario and British Columbia.
