Job Description
The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented analytical thinker to empower data-driven decision making at an exciting and fast-growing organization! As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and delivering insightful, actionable analytics to drive business decisions, optimize performance, and support strategic initiatives across the organization. This is a truly cross-functional role supporting the reporting and analytics needs across all arms of the organization - including product, relationship management and sales, operations, and finance. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable managing cross-functional projects, have a deep technical understanding of a general BI stack, and be eager to dive deeper into the data to tease out actionable insights. The responsibilities of the role include:
- Help set a broad company vision for the way we communicate data and our value proposition to clients and stakeholders
- Design, develop, and maintain robust BI solutions to support data-driven decision-making.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Provide strategic recommendations based on these insights to drive business growth and efficiency.
- Present analysis, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Contribute to the design and development of the LookML architecture behind our Looker platform and ensure that data models are highly performant, accurate, and flexible to future needs of the organization.
- Collaborate with other Flywire teams (including Product, Finance, Operations) to understand business needs and develop flexible reporting solutions that seamlessly integrate with their day-to-day work.
- Monitor and triage incoming Analytics requests from across the business.
- Represent Analytics in broader company initiatives, ensuring key processes and reporting can adapt to any changes made in other parts of the business.
- Work closely with fellow BI Analysts to foster a collaborative environment: sharing best practices, offering constructive feedback, and ensuring the successful completion of projects through effective teamwork.
Qualifications
Here's What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams
- Exceptional communication skills: You can explain even the most complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Extensive development experience with Looker business intelligence software (candidates with exceptional experience with other BI tools may also be considered)
- Experience in data modeling, SQL development and optimization
- Experience building data extraction and manipulation scripts in Python and/or R is a plus
