Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
Job Description
A Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is primarily responsible for visualization design working independently and within team settings to develop business intelligence / visualization platforms to support client and Acxiom development needs. Data to support development is largely based on a combination of client first party data and Acxiom third party data assets which provide a rich information set for the developer's work. Visualization applications developed will largely be created in cloud (GCP) solutions using Looker.
What you will do:
Utilize Tableau, Python, Hadoop and other technical skills. Architect, design, build and test custom visualization platforms, business intelligence analytical tools and applications Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software to enhance analytical tools and API functionalities. Maintains and improves our high-available, high-throughput, low-latency API servers. Write, document and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and pipelines. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Create visualizations as stand-alone dashboards and embedding results in applications. Identify and diagnose areas of maintenance and process improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Master degree in Computer Science or a related field with 2 year experience or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 5 years experience required. Academic training or experience must include some experience with or exposure to:
- 2 years Development Experience with 1 of the following: Looker or LookML
- 2 year experience with one or more of the following SQL, MongoDB, NoSQL
- 6 months experience with 2 of the following: Python, Hadoop, Hive and Spark
- 2 year experience with GCP Google Cloud Platform Infrastructure
