Senior Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager
Job Description
BASIC PURPOSE
Assist the Banking Operations division and Director of Tactical Solutions by leading design and implementation of various projects and initiatives related to digitization, automation, process improvement, reporting, ad hoc analysis that affect the Bank's processes, internal controls and business plans. Contribute to monthly functions, processes requiring technical acumen, special projects, system and website testing. Streamline, automate, and support data reports, metrics, and analytics.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise assigned employees, allocate work and make decisions and recommendations involving employment, performance reviews, training and development, salary, promotion and transfer.
- Create an inclusive work environment that enhances employee engagement and enable all employees to reach his/her full potential.
- Take lead role in assigned projects, works with assigned employees and others stakeholders to successfully deliver BI solutions.
- Represent the department as necessary in committees or project teams.
- Translate corporate goals into functional and individual goals for assigned employees.
- Develop relationships with other business units and help the department with project pipelines.
- Design and develop reports and tools for management, committees, and other reports as needed by FHFA, Office of Finance, Board of Directors.
- Work with the Bank's business units to design and develop KPI's, KRI's and other metrics as needed.
- Guide design and development of dashboard for daily activities, management and committees as needed.
- Architect and guide team on RPA solutions using UIPath, Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Research and help evaluate latest tools for digitization and automation efforts. Design and develop solutions incorporating these tools.
- Analyze Bank's internal systems and processes, identify efficiencies, and offer solutions to assist in product development and to promote operational excellence.
- Liaise between the business project team, IT, other Bank departments and vendors on certain project assignments.
- Participate in the design and development of the Bank's customer relationship management software, including software specifications, report layouts, functional acceptance testing, system accuracy, checks and new program implementations related to the software.
- Maintain and expand industry, product, and functional knowledge relevant and beneficial to the Bank's data vision.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- COVID-19 Vaccination Required, with accommodation for religious or medical reason in accordance with the law. You will be required to show proof of vaccination on your first day of hire.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, math, finance or a quantitative field is required. Advanced degree highly preferred.
- Desire to move into business side and learn commercial banking demonstrated with MBA (finance focus), CFA or other finance certifications (or working towards) is highly preferred.
- At least 12 to 15 years of professional experience with demonstrated career progression preferably in a financial institution required.
- Recent hands on experience in designing and implementing software solutions required.
- Recent experience leading team on large and/or complex projects highly preferred.
- 5 years of experience managing people.
- Demonstrated knowledge of multiple technologies and platforms, preferably on the Microsoft stack.
- Advanced programming experience required in one or more of the following: VBA, .NET, Python, Java, R, SAS
- Experience with web design, SaaS, REST API, SOAP highly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and Reporting particularly from Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, SSRS, PowerPivot, PowerQuery, PowerBI) highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as the ability to present, listen and accept instruction.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Ability to break down ideas/issues leading to solutions as well as conduct research to uncover answers and provide solutions.
- Organized and highly detail oriented.
- Self-directed, yet strong orientation to be successful in groups and on teams.
