Senior Business Intelligence & Data Analyst

Reporting to the VP of Business Operations & Strategy, the Senior Business Intelligence & Data Analyst will serve as a key member of the Business Operations & Strategy Team providing insights and recommendations to business stakeholders based on analysis of large data sets. The Senior Data analyst will collect data, organize that data, and then analyze, so that they can accurately report their findings to cross-functional departments to make informed decisions and provide suggestions to departments based on those findings. The Senior Data Analyst will often present findings to Executive members of Bugcrowd.

Responsibilities: 

• Build data structure to scale fast growth business with the ability to focus on multiple priorities
• Performing data analysis tasks such as building reports, identifying trends, and making recommendations based on findings
• Communicating with management regarding research findings, presenting reports in written or verbal format, and providing recommendations for action based on findings
• Conducting research on current industry trends to identify new opportunities and threats to the company’s business model
• Recommending improvements to existing processes and procedures based on data analysis findings
• Developing models that can be used to predict future outcomes based on current trends
• Interpreting data to identify patterns and relationships between different variables
• Identifying opportunities to improve business processes through the use of data mining and predictive analytics tools
• Develop analysis and reporting solutions that address business needs and support decision making
• Identify trends, correlations, and patterns in complex data sets
• Manipulate and analyze data from multiple sources using Excel, SFDC, Tableau & Bugcrowd Platform
• Generate reports from data to be used by business stakeholders for decision making
• Providing recommendations for improving processes based on research finding
• Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed to support business

Experience:

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance computer science, mathematics, or related field
• 5+ years professional experience as a data analyst
• Expertise in Excel and data visualization software
• Experience with statistical analysis and data mining
• Ability to develop complex data models
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business, finance, computer science, mathematics, or related field
• 7+ years professional experience as a data analyst
• Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization software
• Experience working with big data sets
• Experience in supporting major functional areas within an organization, with experience in financial analysis, and business metric reporting
• Experience with a fast-growing SaaS company
• Expertise reporting in our systems: NetSuite, Salesforce.com, Tableau & Clari
• Work cross functionally to understand needs of stakeholders, and create dashboards and other reporting tools
• Passion for applying analytics methods to provide visibility and improve business outcomes
• Build, maintain, and communicate detailed reporting, dashboards, and models
• Ability to provide key insights and interactive analytics in near real-time to stakeholders and practitioners
• Knowledge and experience applying common analytics methods
• Develop data roadmap based on current state survey of current data sets
• Prowess to present materials in a format that facilitates senior management decision making
• Strong working knowledge of data analysis and database engineering technologies etc.
• Self-starter that adapts well to change in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace and not phased by change
• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay Range Disclosure:
The base pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, Qualifications, Geographical Location, Education/certifications, Experience, Skill Sets, Training, and other business and organizational needs. 

At Bugcrowd, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for the position of Senior Business Intelligence &  Data Analyst is: $74,880  - $98,100.

This position may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program or commission plan, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
