Senior Business Manager
Job Description
Who You Are:
The Senior Business Manager has 3-5 years experience and is ready to move into a role that positions them at the center of the action - both with the client and the internal Chiat team. Â
You will own workstreams, driving projects forward autonomously with oversight from a Business Director, Building the project path and managing campaign development from strategy to execution with a strong understanding of the production process.Â
Your clients love you and your teammates can’t live without you. You proactively move projects forward and make the process better, but also offer a strategic perspective because of your deep understanding of the clients business needs.Â
You have mastered the art of “story telling” and are able to develop and confidently present a compelling argument. You present information in a way that is easily understood. Â
As you develop in this role, the Senior Business Manager will also start to flex the muscles that will prepare them for a Business Director role – command of the business, command of the room, mastery of debate, and motivation of the army.Â
What You’ll Do: Â
The Senior Business Manager will have close client relationships, run client and internal meetings, tackle contact reports, and make sure the work is delivered on time, on brief and on budget; they will also be responsible for tracking all client approvals, trafficking finished work, and managing the final assets.Â
- Understands the account, the clients and competitors business and the process well enough to have answers to most client questions in the momentÂ
- Articulate point of view on work. Understands how strategy shapes creative and can judge if it is on brand. Help prepare and sell the work.Â
- Navigate sticky situations with graceÂ
- Goes the extra mile to make way for good work and a good meetingÂ
- Masters trafficking, asset management, and server managementÂ
- Ensure tasks have clear objectives, timings, ownership and deliverables. Drive projects dailyÂ
- Anticipates storms on the horizons, develops solutions and flags to those who can helpÂ
- Empathetic to not just the team but also the clientÂ
- Builds client relationships easilyÂ
- Motivates the team and senses what they needÂ
- Collaborates with inter-agency teams and Global partners to bring omni-channel campaigns to life
