Senior Business Operations Analyst
Fastly has already disrupted CDN technology and now we are changing how CDN is sold. Our sales team engages in a consultative selling approach, learns the individual needs of each customer and delivers custom solutions. We focus on creating a positive customer experience in order to build long-standing relationships. If you have a successful track record in Sales operations, Client Services operations or Business Operations, are skilled with reporting, creating and manipulating data and enjoy working in business applications/tools, we wish to hear from you. In this role you will be a meaningful part of our growth responsible for providing first class operational management of our GTM and operations teams. You will help drive operational and cross functional improvements in the areas of reporting, process, workflow, communication, and strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders across Sales Ops, Customer Success, Finance, Pricing & Packaging, Product Ops and Business Analytics teams and assist in reporting and data analysis to support ongoing projects and initiatives
- Develop and deliver accurate analyses, reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc requests for stakeholders across Revenue Org (Sales, Solutions, Customer Support, Account Management & TAM teams), Finance & ProductÂ
- Work closely with the Sr Manager, GTM Operations, other operations team members and the business to further develop metrics, KPIs, analytics and dashboards to provide performance measurement and drive business performance through deep business insight
- Work closely with the Analytics team to distill business requirements to data solutions and help explain use cases
- Partner regularly with the Business Systems team by assisting in requirements gathering, system testing, process engineering
- Optimize GTM operational efficiency through innovative thinking, process improvement and system enhancements and industry standards sharing
- Work with peers in all Fastly departments to identify the impact of workflow changes on systems and processes and how it will impact current reporting
- Work with the Revenue & Customer Enablement teams and assist in data analysis of platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Fastly App and the Customer/Partner Academy portal to generate actionable insight for additional GTM opportunities and/or internal process improvements
What We're Looking For
- 4-6 years of strong analytical and problem solving experience in Sales Ops / BizOps, Customer Success Ops, Business consulting or business analyst role
- Excellent analytical, reporting, Excel, data manipulation, dashboard creation, and business intelligence skillsÂ
- Extremely proficient in Salesforce data model and reporting; SFDC admin experience is NOT required but a plus
- Proficient in Looker or similar power BI platforms with familiarity in joining complex data sets across different platforms/systemsÂ
- Experience with Zendesk Explorer is desirable but not required
- Is comfortable performing data analysis with (at times) ambiguous inputs and able to form actionable insights
- Interpersonal skills across a multi-level organization - with a validated focus on being able to translate data and metrics into predictable business insight
- Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple task and/or projects with minimal guidance when needed
- Possesses a problem solving natural curiosity when faced withÂ
- Ability to network and build strong relationships with peers, senior leaders and executives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a fast growing, medium-sized company a plus
- Strong background in a cloud software/SaaS business a plus
Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements
This position is based out of Fastlyâs Los Angeles office. Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.Â
This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $89,880 to $132,170.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role may be eligible to participate in Fastlyâs equity and discretionary bonus programs.
