This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. The Job

Airbnb is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Operations Manager to drive the AMER Hosting agenda. This analytical role serves as a thought leader that dissects large scale business problems to identify truths on how the organization can evolve and improve.  This role enables the leadership team to make data-driven recommendations that move the business forward.

This role will be central to the AMER Hosting organization, providing the team with analytical guidance to:

• Deliver Business Analyses and Insights: Answer open business questions by extracting data from available databases. Work with Business Leads to translate data/trends into actionable insights. 
• Deep Dive into Strategic Topics: Build subject matter expertise in strategic focus areas to contextualize and/or substantiate key messages with data.  Proactively identify new ways of looking at or analyzing trends.
• Drive Analytical Rigor for Long Range Planning: Provide business measurement and reporting solutions for Strategic Planning.  Interact with cross-functional partners (e.g., Marketing) to ensure alignment in messaging / narrative.

The Senior Business Operations Manager will work closely with the Data Science and FP&A teams on scoping global data projects. The Manager will also present analyses and takeaways in high visibility forums (e.g., Monthly Business Reviews, Supply Forums).

Business Planning

• Works closely with the Chief of Staff to:
• Uphold the organization’s Operating Model and Ways of Working
• Shape the Long Term Strategic Plan by bringing internal and external insights 
• Facilitate leadership communications (e.g., Weekly team updates, quarterly business reviews, All Hands)
• Partners closely with Finance teams to:
• Oversee annual budget planning
• Inform leadership of evolutions in key metrics, the drivers behind them, and why they matter

Analytics

• Aligns with working team on scope of a business problem and the proposed approach:
• Breaks complex problems into logical work-streams
• Identifies relevant sources of truth
• Shares findings with working team on a regular basis to avoid misunderstandings
• Anticipates change and identifies ways to overcome challenges and constraints to keep project activities on schedule to meet or exceed business partner expectations
• Takes initiative to exhaust all avenues to resolve problems before resorting to escalation
• Communicates findings and recommendations to all levels of management

About You

• 8 years or more of a work experience working cross-functionally, (i.e., proven experience managing multi-partner projects and managing team processes)
• Strong financial / analytical background (e.g., experience making data-driven recommendations, high degree of comfort with SQL, Excel, and Tableau)
• Proven ability to track, prioritize, manage and execute multiple concurrent projects
• Proven ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills
• Passion for Airbnb's mission

The Pay

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $132,000 and $164,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
