Senior Business Systems Analyst

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you would be the business system owner for Waypoint (Planisware), R&D's portfolio and project management planning, tracking, and reporting tool, and additional business tools as required supporting the Research and Development team. This role will be in Fort Worth, Texas, and a typical day will include:

• Ensure business access to accurate and efficient portfolio and project planning, tracking, and reporting capabilities that enable the launch of new medical devices that preserve, protect, and restore sight for millions of patients.
• Anticipate and adapt systems to meet changing business demands, and is also responsible for business application administration, delivering continuous improvement of the systems and their associated processes, and driving business adoption of the tool and new system functionality as it becomes available.
• Understand user needs and business requirements and map to business system requirements; Ensure the system meets those requirements
• Find opportunities to continuously improve business systems and associated processes that align to needs of stakeholders.
• Deliver agreed on improvements to business systems and associated processes that enhance user experience
• Collaborate with IT application owners and support the "two in the box" way of working to deliver an enhanced user experience
• Proactively monitor for business changes that may impact the need to update system configurations to meet partner needs, and act to drive system enhancements to effect required changes.
• Change and risk management for system and process operations, updates, and enhancements
• Responsible for user onboarding and data changes
• Design and deliver training solutions to ensure efficient and effective use of the business systems.
• Support system troubleshooting and ensure resolution of system incidents
• Agile response to urgent business needs
• Create reporting capabilities and execute report and data transfer to other required functions and enterprise tools (e.g. support financial reporting)
• Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business goals and objectives
• Be a strong collaborator with exceptional time management skills to deliver business goals and objectives whether working independently or in a team

What you'll bring to Alcon:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs;Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 7 Years of Relevant Experience
