Senior Business Systems Analyst

This role provides input and guides the business unit in determining the best solutions and system requirements for their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides systems support reporting and analytic projects.
• Provides input and guides the business unit in determining the best solutions and system requirements for their specific needs. Additionally, this position assists with test plan development and execution.
• Make recommendations to meet client or business objectives.
• Gather data and analyze problems across projects to initiate strategic transformation.
• Work with and across product teams to execute project plans according to objectives and timelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 5 to 7 years relevant experience
• Ability to learn, understand and apply technology as it relates to the business.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with a high level of clarity
• Excellent communication skills
• Open-minded to new or challenging ideas
• Ability to interpret, manipulate and build complex reporting solutions
• Demonstrated proficiency and development experience on Power BI
• Familiarity with visualization software
• Performed support & responsive services on complex problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Master data management experience
• Understands/supports agile methodologies
• Experience working cross-organizationally with both business and technology groups
• Experience with database structures and SQL querying knowledge
• Experience documenting interfaces, requirements/stories, and test cases
• - Experience with Excel Power Query
• Advanced skills using SQL, SSRS, and SSIS
• Demonstrated data analysis capability
• Familiarity with Financial services industry, especially Insurance and Annuity products
