Your role 

Your key goal is forecasting, demand planning and sourcing of inventory over multiple vendors and driving strategic relationships with those vendors. In addition, the Senior Buyer is responsible for performing market analysis and making purchasing recommendations to the management team which allow the company to meet customer demand in the timeframe that customers desire.

Your background and experience 

  • Develops purchasing forecasts at both the macro and micro level using a combination of historical data, booked demand and growth or decline information

  • Performs market analysis and makes purchasing recommendations based on market trends.

  • Manages stock items to stay ahead of demand curve.

  • Leads inventory levels to keep inventory value down and turns up.

  • Communicates pricing and availability of purchased items with outside sales teams and internal support teams.

  • Prepares Excel workbooks, assigns pre-work to teams, collects feedback and integrates data, prepares Power Point, facilitates meetings, documents notes and assigns follow-up, etc. for each meeting

  • Conducts statistical forecasting for stocking SKU’s and evaluate demand trends

  • Conducts inventory analysis to develop proposed target levels and identify supply gaps

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
