Senior Buyer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cost Optimization

• Achieve the annual cost reduction targets through a combination of negotiation, contract management and specification optimization.
• Track and accurately capture price changes and savings initiatives, contributing to Zentiva's financial goals.

Strategic Sourcing

• Implement dual sourcing strategies for critical goods or services, ensuring supply chain continuity and mitigating risk.
• Collaborate with the internal client in order to prioritize initiatives and execute sourcing plans.

ESG

• Drive ESG principles in procurement, evaluating suppliers for compliance with Environmental, Social, and Governance standards.
• Actively monitor and rationalize non-compliant suppliers to contribute to Zentiva's sustainability commitments.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure timely review and approval of invoices and purchase orders.
• Develop and implement at least one consignment stock model.

Planning and Execution

• Employ robust planning techniques to ensure timely and efficient procurement process.
• Track progress on dual sourcing projects, updating records with supplier information and expected price benefits.

Compliance and Collaboration

• Adhere to all internal policies, regulations and the Supplier Code of Conduct throughout sourcing activities.
• Sign contracts and annexes with suppliers to formalize procurement relationships.
• Engage suppliers in face-to-face meetings both onsite and at their locations.
• Support supplier categorization activities in collaboration with team members.
• Identify and promote cross-site supplier collaborations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, preferably in the pharmaceutical or related industry.

• Proven success in cost reduction, negotiation, and contract management.

• Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in Supplier Relationship Management and implementing ESG compliance is considered a plus.
