LOCATION:

The Senior Client Data Analyst is a remote, work from home position, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners (a structure central to our culture and our vision to change the work/life paradigm). Candidates who live in the following States will be considered:  CT, IL, MA, NH, NJ, PA, RI, VA, FL, GA, MN, OR, TX, AZ, ME, NC, OH, SC, TN. Some travel is required for client meetings or other internal meetings, conferences, etc.

THE ROLE: 

The Senior Client Data Analyst will sit within the Client Analytics team, while closely supporting the Client Services team. The ideal candidate will be highly driven with 5+ years of data analysis experience, within a performance marketing channel preferred. This person will be a centralized resource across the Client Services organization, helping to assist client teams in using data to improve strategy and storytelling. This role will also support internal client teams with complex data requests from clients with a focus on client retention, improvement of data/reporting scores on quarterly satisfaction surveys, telling a story with data to support the value of the channel, reprojections and more. This role will require the ability to use and analyze data for big picture strategic thinking while being able to succinctly make recommendations for the organization based on the information available. The Senior Client Data Analyst will also be responsible for proactive client and partner analysis across the organization, including producing benchmarking data and client facing reports to showcase the value of Acceleration Partners.

This role will utilize strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to compile and analyze complex data sets along with spot trends, flag anomalies and make recommendations based on data. The ideal candidate will be a visionary with a love of data and a knack for taking large data sets and analyzing it showcasing how data can be leveraged to tell a story. The candidate should have experience and be comfortable presenting in a group setting to internal stakeholders and to clients at varying levels. The candidate should possess superior organization and prioritization skills. Previous experience managing and motivating direct reports preferred.

TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. CENTRALIZED STRATEGIC ANALYSIS – Manages and prioritizes incoming complex data analysis requests from the Client Services team, with little to no guidance. Strategically and effectively completes data analysis projects such as using data to prove the value of the channel, creating re-projections, telling a story with data, conducting incrementality analysis and more. Pinpoints and proactively flags anomalies within the data that may impact program or partner performance. Proactively identifies and share ways to increase data efficiencies and improve data analysis across the delivery team. Reviews internal data and thinks creatively to pull together monthly strategic recommendations and takeaways for the organization based on the data available.

    2. BENCHMARKING, INSIGHTS & TRENDS – Utilizes Acceleration Partners vast array of client and partner data to strategically and proactively analyze trends and benchmarking across the organization, creating reports and identifying insights to be shared with clients and prospects. Incorporates industry insights and benchmarks within reporting that are relevant to the client and support the story the data is telling. Supports internal teams with monthly Client Services update which includes big picture strategic recommendations, key learnings, and trends based on data. Creates client facing monthly deliverable showcasing trends and highlighting actionable key learnings while elevating Acceleration Partners as a continued thought leader.

    3. CLIENT & INTERNAL COMMUNICATION – Clearly communicates and summarizes program and campaign performance, along with data learnings to internal stakeholders through various means including email recaps, PowerPoint presentations, 1-pagers and on internal facing calls across various levels. In addition, supporting account teams on client calls and during quarterly or annual presentations as needed. Showcases the ability to leverage large data sets to pull out key learnings and recommendations that can be presented in a concise and action-oriented format. Confidently presents data findings to client and internal teams in a formal setting or presentation that is clear and concise and easy for all stakeholders to understand.

    4. PROJECT MANAGEMENT – Reviews and prioritizes incoming ad-hoc projects and support requests, developing a full understanding of the project scope and level of effort required to complete project. Balances and prioritizes projects based on time sensitivity and value to Client and AP. Communicates appropriate project plans and timelines for project completion to stakeholders.

    5. LEAD, MANGE, & HOLD ACCOUNTABLE – Hold direct reports accountable to client deliverables and timelines, flagging areas of concern proactively. Coach direct reports, providing positive and constructive feedback on performance. Lead by influence through developing relationships and effectively communicating with clients and internal stakeholders across all departments and levels. Support internal team members with guidance and training around data analysis. Actively conducts quarterly training for internal team members on data analysis best practices and storytelling.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

  • By 3 Months… The Senior Client Data Analyst will have a solid understanding of the important KPIs across the affiliate channel and will have started supporting various requests across the client teams as it relates to complex data analysis. This person can quickly make connections between data points to help identify cause/effect on performance and share actionable insights and recommended next steps with team members in support of making strategic recommendations to support client growth, satisfaction and retention. The Senior Client Data Analyst will be independently executing day-to-day project management across their areas of responsibility and is comfortable owning more complex ad hoc reporting deliverables with the outcome of increased thought leadership being shared with clients. This person has successfully reviewed internal data and used the information available to make strategic recommendations via the first monthly benchmarks and trending recap and shared out with the wider team for use.
  • By 6 Months… The Senior Client Data Analyst will be meeting expectations in their Top 5’s with minimal guidance needed from their manager. This person is a vital part of the Client Analytics team providing strategic analysis, big picture thinking, and providing thought leadership as it relates to our data. This person is consistently supporting client teams in a centralized capacity by owning incoming support requests, including forecasting, and leveraging insights and benchmarks for storytelling with the outcome of increased client satisfaction, smarter decision making based on data and increased growth across our client portfolio. The Senior Client Data Analyst is consistently and proactively utilizing strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to compile and analyze large complex data sets with the outcome of providing clear, concise, strategic, deliverables for the client teams. The Senior Client Data Analyst is consistently delivering a monthly report to teams and clients showcasing key learnings from benchmarking and highlighting trends across our client portfolio. The Senior Client Data Analyst has refined their ability to analyze large data sets and compile takeaways into a monthly benchmarking and insights report that helps to support data backed recommendations across varying levels of the organization. This person is consistently participating in firm building which includes conducting quarterly data analysis training while sharing learnings and insights with peers and internal stakeholders which has the direct result of increased strategic decision making based on data leading to increased client happiness and retention. This person is consistently supporting client retention for at-risk clients and leveraging data to gain buy in from clients 50% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of data analysis experience, within a performance marketing channel preferred
  • Proven experience in data collection & analysis from multiple sources
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formatting, complex formulas, customization, etc.
  • Previous experience managing and motivating direct reports preferred
  • Superior communication and organization skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet experience a plus
  • Experience building PowerPoint decks and leading presentations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Affiliate Networks and SaaS platforms (ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, Impact, etc.) a plus
  • Ability to travel when needed to conferences and meetings
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required
