In recent years, we have increased our commercial focus on ESG, beginning with our work in the Nordic markets. Nasdaq's ESG Advisory practice is one of our commercial ESG offerings. The practice helps companies analyze, assess and action ESG programs with the goals of attracting long-term capital and enhancing value creation. Engagements include ESG and Climate program building strategy, oversight and disclosure advice, ratings agencies guidance, frameworks adoption (SASB, GRI, TCFD, UN SDG's) and ESG investor engagement strategy. The practice supports companies globally across sector and market capitalization.
Experience
- 2+ years' experience in corporate GHG emissions accounting across multiple sectors, acquired either in-house or in a consultancy environment
- Proficiency in calculating and reporting scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, with demonstrated experience in key topic areas, including setting inventory boundaries, accounting for renewable energy, and accounting for supply chain emissions using multiple approaches (EEIO, LCA, supplier-specific data)
- Demonstrated experience in conducting GHG inventories with organizations across multiple sectors (retail, manufacturing, financial, energy, etc.)
- Understanding of Life Cycle Assessments and Product Carbon Footprints
- Familiarity with carbon accounting and reporting standards and programs (e.g., ISO 14064, GHG Protocol, TCR)
- Experience with third-party audits of inventories, and with auditors/assurance providers
- Experience with ESG and climate program building strategy, oversight and disclosure advice, ratings agencies guidance, frameworks adoption (SASB, GRI, TCFD, UN SDG's) and ESG investor engagement strategy

- Proficiency in MS Office Tools -Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Pro, and carbon management enterprise software solutions
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to various stakeholders
- Education Required: Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Climate Science or Environmental Science Degree
- Experience Required: 2-5 years of GHG inventory, ESG, or Capital Markets Experience
