In this role you will:
- Develop clinical risk models using Machine learning/AI, clinical outcomes, population health metric design and data evaluation, medical claims and pharmacy claims utilization evaluation, clinical operation performance measurement, clinical intervention program evaluation from a member experience and patient outcome perspective, as well as reporting and dashboard building using excel, Tableau and other BI tools.
- Write/program/develop and implement visual data reports and create personalized, interactive data visualizations, reports, and dashboards from multiple data sources.
Work with the business to process requirements and be able to convert them into meaningful reports as well as be able to train and communicate the reports to the business stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of complex database structures and ability to work with large datasets with various joints plus data transformation methodologies.
- Analyze, cleanse, and transforms medical, pharmacy claims, and member demographics data for various models and projects.
- Communicated findings and trends to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Establish KPIs to measure effectiveness of business process, business practice and decisions.
- Create report and presentation for projects, summarize recommendations and findings.
- Work collaboratively with members of our clinical team, data science team, engineering team, client management team and sales team.
- Identify and implement informatics strategies to support health outcomes, patient outreach and organizational performance.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, R, Python, and SAS (or something similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics and data science.
- Experience in healthcare industry strongly preferred.
- Have good understanding of medical claims and pharmacy claims data, from how provider bills these claims to how they get adjudicated by the payer
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage and complete multiple projects within established deadlines, with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail, enjoys working with large amount of data closely and debug formula and code errors
- Thinking outside the box, enjoy taking on new challenges and work through assignments with high-level instructions only
- Team player and self-motivator
- Thrives to achieve above and beyond
- Flexible and friendly work attitude and mindset, willing to jump onto projects to assist other team members when needed
- Bachelors' degree in one of these fields- health care informatics, mathematics, data engineering, data science and computer science preferred
